who is this diva?
Hi, I’m Kristina, owner and founder of Silent Treatment!
In October 2023, I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. My workplace at the time, a big salon, was causing me frequent meltdowns and leading me towards autistic burnout. One day in June 2024, while working at said salon, the power went out. The music stopped, the bright lights turned off… and it was the happiest I’d ever been while working there. Later that week, I resigned and set out to create a environment where I could thrive and clients could feel at ease.
Growing up attending a strict catholic school, I discovered that my hair was the only outlet where I could express creativity and personal style. I would spend hours styling my hair before and after school, wet setting rows of pincurls and creating elaborate updos. During the school holidays I would spend my time painting fun designs on my nails. I later found out that kids at school called me “wedding hair” behind my back (honestly slay and they weren’t wrong). Post diagnosis, I can now identify these intense hobbies as life-long autistic special interests.
The beautiful thing about special interests, is that the curiosity and desire to learn is infinite, when I’m not doing your hair and/or nails… I’m researching, learning and investing in education. This has made me a diverse stylist with the passion and knowledge to bring your ideas to life.
